How to ICCSA (2021 edition)
(27 August 2021)
Dear ICCSA 2021 participants,
We’re organising this year’s ICCSA conference in a “blended” form, with both in-presence and online participants.
Breaking the last year's record, we have received 532 papers accepted for the presentation at the conference between the general tracks and the workshops, and are expecting around 60-70 in-presence participants, with the rest joining us online.
With this post, we want to give some preliminary guidelines and instructions for you to be able to participate.
The conference will take place from 13 to 16 September at the urban campus of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Cagliari.
All the rooms for the parallel sessions are equipped to host “blended” presentations and discussions, allowing audio-video and screen sharing for interaction with local and online presenters and audience. Furthermore, each room will be supervised non-stop by dedicated assistants providing technical support and assuring compliance with the standing health protocols for the audience in the room.
For the online participants, the parallel sessions will be held via the ICCSA Jitsi platform.
Jitsi is an easy-to-use fully web-based videoconferencing platform. To participate, no special software is required. To access an online “room” one just needs to follow a link, equipped with a microphone and a webcam. No login is required.
For access via mobile devices, there are iOS, Android and F-Droid apps available at the Jitsi website.
The links to online rooms for each session is available in the detailed conference programme. So, at the time of the conference, you will just have to follow the link to join your session.
As usual, the sessions will be moderated by session chairs.
We plan to allot 15 minutes for each paper presentation: 10 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for the discussion.
During the presentation, you will be able to share your slides and screen, using Jitsi’s screensharing feature.
To stay tuned, keep an eye on this website and follow us on Facebook for updates.
Thank you and we hope you have a good ICCSA.
